About Me

We all experiences challenges in our lives and counselling can help to find solutions to these challenges. I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client is paramount. I work to provide and environment that is warm, trusting, compassionate, open and nonjudgemental. I believe that all of us have the ability and strength to face life challenges and to work to find ways to successful transition to a healthier and happier way of being.

My journey as a counsellor has taken me to work in a variety of settings. I have over twenty five years of counselling experience, having worked in private practice, working with children, teens and adults,  and in the education sector where I worked with children, teens and adults. I worked with clients individually, in groups sessions, family settings, and  in couples sessions.

I hold a B.ED from the University of Victoria and a MA in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. I believe in life long learning and continue to educate myself to learn ways to assist my clients achieve their goals . Presently, I am interested in AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy).
