About Me
We all experiences challenges in our lives and counselling can help to find solutions to these challenges. I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client is paramount. I work to provide and environment that is warm, trusting, compassionate, open and nonjudgemental. I believe that all of us have the ability and strength to face life challenges and to work to find ways to successful transition to a healthier and happier way of being.
My journey as a counsellor has taken me to work in a variety of settings. I have over twenty five years of counselling experience, having worked in private practice, working with children, teens and adults, and in the education sector where I worked with children, teens and adults. I worked with clients individually, in groups sessions, family settings, and in couples sessions.
I hold a B.ED from the University of Victoria and a MA in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. I am a member of BC Association of Clinical CounselIors (#17814). I believe in life long learning and continue to educate myself to learn ways to assist my clients achieve their goals .
